PlayerUnknowns Battlegrounds Sells 10 Million Copies

first_img It’s safe to say that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is 2017’s big sleeper hit. Since its debut as an Early Access game on Steam in March, the game has amassed a huge following. Today, developer Bluehole has announced that its open-world survival title has sold an astounding 10 million copies. This helped it briefly top Valve’s DotA2.PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is undeniably a monster hit, but will it enjoy the same success on Xbox One that it currently does on PC? The Xbox One has a much smaller install base than PC so its doubtful PUBG will reach 10 million sales on that platform. However, even if it only sells half that number on Microsoft’s console it would still be a great accomplishment. Given the Xbox One’s spare exclusive offerings this Fall, PUBG could help it stay competitive with PS4 and Switch during the holidays.
