Resident Evil Revelations on Switch Has Exclusive RetroStyle Mini Games

first_img Back during this year’s NYCC, Capcom revealed that Resident Evil: Revelations Collection for Nintendo Switch would contain some exclusive retro mini-games. Today, the company has released two trailers that show us what these hidden gems are all about. The first one is Ghost Ship Panic. Here, players must shoot monsters that drop down from the top of the screen. The monsters include Ooze, Rachel Ooze, and Scagdead, all of which appeared in the first Revelations. Most enemies are easily dispatched with a single shot, but some of the faster enemies are veritable bullet sponges. Graphically speaking, this one is a bit on the cheap side. Still, it looks fun enough. The second mini-game is called Ghouls ‘n Homunculi. As you’ve no doubt surmised, this one is inspired by Capcom’s own Ghouls ‘n Ghosts. Instead of playing as Arthur, players take control of Resident Evil‘s Barry Burton. Like Arthur, Burton loses a piece of clothing whenever he takes damage. I’m curious to know if this game is as brutally difficult as the original Ghouls ‘n Ghosts. Also, do we have to play it twice to get the real ending? These mini-games earn players BP (Battle Points) which they can use to purchase or upgrade items from the in-game Raid Shop. The Revelations titles can get pretty tough, so it’s cool to know you can earn BP by playing these two games. Both Resident Evil: Revelations games have been released on multiple consoles. Because of that, it was a wise move by Capcom to put this type of exclusive content on the Switch release. I can see Switch owners who already own Revelations and Revelations 2 picking up the collection just to try out these mini-games. Ghouls ‘n Homunculi looks like a lot of fun!Resident Evil: Revelations Collection will release for Nintendo Switch on November 28. Keep in kind that the physical release only has the first game on the cartridge. The second game must be downloaded from the Nintendo Switch shop.
